The latest version of Baseball WhiteBoard has been updated to support 64-bit devices and iOS7 and newer versions, ensuring compatibility with current hardware and operating systems.

Designed as a digital equivalent of a portable dry-erase whiteboard used by baseball coaches, Baseball WhiteBoard enables users to visualize player and ball positioning effectively. It is a universal application compatible with iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch devices.

User interaction is intuitive: simply drag players and the ball across the virtual field with your fingertips to demonstrate positioning strategies. The app supports pinch, zoom, scroll, and rotate gestures, allowing users to focus either on individual segments or the entire field. Teams can be customized with a variety of colors, and any number of players can be placed on the field simultaneously. Player identifiers can be set to default position numbers or customized with up to three characters on an iPad (two on other devices), suitable for initials or jersey numbers. Additionally, labels such as player names can be displayed beneath each marker. All positional data, labels, and designations are capable of being saved for future use, with team data stored separately to facilitate multiple whiteboard sessions.

Originally launched for the iPhone in summer 2009, Baseball WhiteBoard remains a pioneer in its category. For drawing purposes, three configurable pens allow users to add colored lines to illustrate movement or strategy. Default colors are red, green, and blue, but customization options are available. An erase function in the icon palette facilitates line removal. On iPhone and iPod touch devices, users can shake their device to clear all drawings.

The "trailing lines" feature can be enabled to display a narrow line tracing each player's movement path. This visual aid assists in analyzing player movement patterns by illustrating the origin of each position change.

Configuring the whiteboard is straightforward: iPhone and iPod touch users can double-tap anywhere on the field to access controls. iPad users can utilize on-screen controls located beside the field for settings adjustments. These controls allow users to specify team sizes, select team colors, activate trailing lines, and save/load setups.

Baseball WhiteBoard fully supports modern iOS features such as iCloud synchronization for team and whiteboard data. This capability enables seamless access across multiple devices—allowing edits on an iPad or iPhone/iPod touch without loss of accuracy or detail. Compatibility with Retina displays, AirPrint for printing, and AirPlay screen mirroring further enhance its utility.
